Description

A graduate in physics and renewable energy, Nisreen Abdelrahman Elsaim is a technology transfer negotiator. At the same time, she is an activist with The Sudanese Environment Conservation Society where she became a co-founder of the Youth and Environment Committee in 2015. As part of her engagement, she travelled through Sudan and observed the extent of the impact of climate change and the country’s vulnerability to this phenomenon, particularly in the context of the conflict in Darfur. To coordinate efforts in this area, she created the platform Youth and Environment-Suda (Yes). As the representative of Sudanese youth at the UN conferences, she writes a report on the Paris Agreement that is presented to the government, which ratifies the agreement a year later.
